Homework due Fri 5th Sept (week 7)

Dear parents, I would be grateful if you could check off the list below and see if your child has completed work set.  It is increasingly frustrating when some pupils are not prepared for their learning.  Currently, each child has a novel to read and the expectation is that each Monday, they have summaries completed ready to begin work for the week related to their summary.  Today, 8 pupils were not prepared for this (all of which are bringing home a remembering letter for you to sign tonight).  They have been instructed to have their summary completed for tomorrow.  As you are aware, I set the summary writing homework each Monday so they have 1 full week to complete this.

Room 5 are also completing a sustainability assignment at the minute.  They are working in groups and each group has come up with a topic that they would like to focus on.  As I mentioned last week, they are completing this work on google docs which means that they have access to this at home and at school.  My expectation is that all questions are fully answered for Friday.  Please help your child to work on this at home. I have attached again a document informing you how to access your childs account (they use these regularly in class so should know their passwords) if they have forgotten, let me know and I will email you a copy of it.

Wishing you a stress free week :)

Homework due Fri 29th August (week 6)

Sustainability - each pupil in the class has chosen either 1 or 2 individual people to work with in the class for sustainability.  Today, we have been working on coming up with a 'big' question.  Each group has come up with a main question and today in class they were coming up with supplementary questions that will help to break the main question down. Tonight, they have been asked to come up with one additional supplementary question at home.  They should type this question up on their google doc tonight (Mon), ready for class tomorrow.

100 Word Challenge for Thursday - With elections coming up, I would like you to use your 100 words to try to persuade someone to vote for you - If you were running for parliament, what would your party be fighting for?

5 Sentence Challenge. Imagine that you want people to vote for you as class captain.  Write 5 sentences to try and convince people why you would be the best person for the class.
